Job Description |
TITLE: Practice Management Assistance Program (PMAP) ASSISTANT
SUMMARY: Assist PMAP Director in providing practice management assistance to SC Bar members and their paralegals and legal assistants
MAJOR DUTIES:
1. Provide administrative assistance to PMAP Director, including assigned entities.
2. Assist members with Casemaker, taking calls and providing training as assigned.
3. Oversee lending library.
4. Respond to questions on software within realm of expertise; demonstrate software in which
fully versed.
5. Provide administrative assistance to Risk Management Director, including assigned entities.
6. Provide occasional administrative assistance to Executive Director.
7. Other duties as assigned.
REPORTS TO: PMAP Director
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Bachelors’ degree or paralegal degree with two years relevant legal community experience; computer literate; proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Access and Excel; proficient in computerized legal research; excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills; ability to work well with volunteers and staff, ability to manage time efficiently, organize activities and meet deadlines; assertive; self-starter.
DESIRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Two years’ experience in law office with practice management software.
