Keynotes:

Opening Keynote: Mike Overton, CEO & Owner, Outside Brands

Mike Overton is the founder, owner, and CEO of Destinations DMC, a division of Outside Brands. Outside Brands is a multi-faceted organization. Operations include retail, team and leadership development, outdoor education, outdoor recreation, and destination management. The company was established in 1979. Subsidiaries of include: Destinations DMC, Low Country Leadership Development Associates, Page Island Team and Leadership Development, Outside Palmetto Bluff, and The Outside Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization.

Mr. Overton is a Graduate of The University of Vermont with a BS in Resource Economics. He has been a business owner in the Hilton Head community since 1979. He served on boards of The HHI Chamber of Commerce, The Island Recreation Association, The Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head, The Low Country Recycling Association, and The South Island Public Service District. He is a graduate of the Leadership Hilton Head class of 1992.

Mike has done extensive international travel. Recreational achievements include a former top 5 international ranking as a windsurfer, numerous Open Ocean and trans-Atlantic sailing races, and a course captain on the 1996 Olympic yachting venue.

Mr. Overton has lead experiential team and leadership development programs for over 500 organizations including many fortune 100 corporations, local small business, and professional sports teams. Originally from Washington, DC, Mr. Overton now resides on Hilton Head Island.

Closing Keynote: John Graham, FASAE, CAE

John Graham became the President and Chief Executive Officer of ASAE August 1, 2003.  ASAE is more than 44,000 association executives and industry partners representing 7,400 organizations. Our members manage leading trade associations, individual membership societies, and voluntary organizations across the United States and in 50 countries around the globe, as well as provide products and services to the association community.  FASAE, CAE became the President and Chief Executive Officer of ASAE August 1, 2003.  ASAE is more than 44,000 association executives and industry partners representing 7,400 organizations. Our members manage leading trade associations, individual membership societies, and voluntary organizations across the United States and in 50 countries around the globe, as well as provide products and services to the association community.
