Membership in SCSAE

SCSAE was organized in 1965 to support and encourage SC association professionals’ achievement of excellence in every aspect of association management. SCSAE members are association executives, professional staff, and representatives from companies that do business with associations.

Regular members of SCSAE include any executives, meeting planners, and other staff members of associations.  Membership is $200 per year for the first/primary member from an association and $100 for any additional staff members from the same organization.

Networking with colleagues through a network of association executives who share common interests and concerns at monthly membership meetings, special programs, and social events.  

Expanding leadership skills by serving on committees and in society leadership positions.

Industry information through a monthly e-newsletter, annual pictorial membership directory, salary and benefits survey, and broadcast emails.

Awards and recognition through SCSAE annual awards program.

Meeting and convention planning expertise through a network of regular and associate members and the annual trade show.

Scholarships through the Education Fund which provides awards for professional development opportunities such as preparation for the CAE and CMP exams, the Institute of Organizational Management program, ASAE seminars, and other programs.

SCSAE invites businesses that provide products and services to the association industry to join as associate members.  Membership is $250 per year.  As an associate member, you will enjoy these and other benefits:

Information from the monthly newsletter, electronic membership directory profiling members, key meeting dates and meeting attendance, and professional development seminars.

Networking with colleagues in the meeting planning industry and with association executives and planners.

Recognition through SCSAE's Outstanding Service Award in which associate members are nominated by regular members.

Marketing and Sponsorship avenues through personal contact with association executives, as well as showcase events, such as the annual trade show, meeting sponsorship, e-newsletter, website advertising discounts, and access to the online directory.

Scholarship opportunities through the Education Fund which awards up to $1,000 for professional development to associate members yearly.
